The Gators had four wrestlers qualify for the state traditional wrestling championship held at the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth this weekend;  Brandon Foster (so.) at 113 lbs. going 1-2,  Cole White (jr.) at 152 lbs. went 2– 2, Dalton Soper (sr.) at 160 lbs. went 1 – 2, and Britton Jones (jr.) at 195 lbs. went 2 – 2.  Complete brackets and team scores can be found at www.ghsa.net

AAAAA B Sectional Results

The Ware County Gator wrestlers took seven Sectional qualifiers to Allatoona High School this weekend and qualified four for the State Traditional Championship tournament to be held at the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, GA. In order to qualify for the State tournament wrestlers had to place in the top eight at the sectional. The four Gator wrestlers who qualified for state are sophomore Brandon Foster (113 lbs), placing 2^nd with a record of 3-1, junior Cole White (152 lbs), placing 3^rd with 4-1 record, senior Dalton Soper (160 lbs), placing 7^th with a record of 3-2, junior Britton Jones, placing 5^th with a 4-2 record. Also completing for the Gators were senior David Soper (170 lbs) placing 10^th with a record of 2-3, sophomore Nawin Hyers (182 lbs) with a record of 0-2, and senior Brandon Rowland, with a 0-2 record. The Ware Co. Gator wrestling team finished 4^th overall in the Area 3 AAAAA Traditional wrestling tournament, qualifying 7 out of 12 wrestlers last Saturday. The Gator wrestlers who advanced to represent Area 3 AAAAA in the East Sectional are sophomore Brandon Foster (113 lbs) going 2-1 and placing 2^nd, junior Cole White (152 lbs) going  2-1 and placing 2nd, senior Dalton Soper (160 lbs) going 3-1 and placing 3^rd, senior David Soper (170 lbs) going 2-2 and placing 4^th, sophomore Nawin Hyers (182 lbs) going 1-2 and placing 4^th, junior Britton Jones (195 lbs) going 2-1 and placing 2^nd, senior Brandon Rowland (HW) going 2-1 and placing 3rd. The Gators did not enter weight classes 126 and 145.

The qualifiers will be headed to Allatoona High School in Acworth, GA on Friday to participate in the AAAAA East Sectional tournament. The top 8 placers in the sectional will qualify for the state traditional tournament in Duluth, GA.
