Congratulations Gator State Qualifiers!!!

The Ware Co. Gator wrestling team qualified 10 athletes for the state traditional wrestling tournament to be held at the Macon Centriplex on Thursday – Saturday 2/14/13 – 2/16/13.  To qualify for the state tournament wrestlers had to place in the top 8 in their weight class.  The Gator wrestlers who qualified for state are Luke Littlefield (11^th grade @ 106 lbs. – placing 2^nd), John Williams (12^th grade @ 113 lbs. placing 3^rd), Jake Gourley (11^th grade @ 126 lbs.  placing 4^th), Zurell Taylor (11^th grade @ 132 lbs. placing 6^th), Devante Durham (11^th grade @ 138 lbs.  placing 8^th), Isaac King (12^th grade @ 145 lbs. placing 1^st), David Shavers (12^th grade @ 170 lbs. placing 1^st), Jacob Allen (11^th grade @ 182 lbs. placing 5^th), Lewy Morrison (12^th grade @ 220 lbs. placing 7^th), and Dakota York (11^th grade @ 285 lbs. placing 7^th).  Other Gator wrestlers who competed were Aaron Yarbrough (9^th grade), Shawn Lewis (11^th grade), KP Boatright (12^th grade), and Anthony Rolle (11^th grade).
