The Gator wrestling team competed in Gator Den tonight hosting the Appling County Pirates and the Yulee Hornets. The Gators bested the Pirates 73-5 and the Hornets 40-24 bringing their dual record to 20 – 5 for the season. The Gators honored their 9 seniors in the den. The senior wrestlers are Ashleigh Griffis, Brittany Newman, Kendall Moore, Banner Thomas, Grayson Smith, Carson Rios, Josh Troupe, Tyler Nipper, and Jeremy Butler. The Gators will be hosting the Region 1-AAAAA championship Saturday. The teams competing will be Coffee Co., Veterans, Warner Robins, Wayne Co., and Ware. The top 4 teams will move on to state quads on 1/23/21. Wrestling will begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday.
