The Ware County wrestling teams competed Tuesday 11/21/23 in Coffee Co. in the 1^st annual Southern Trojan War hosted by Coffee Co. HS.  The tournament was in a round robin format and was designed to maximize mat time for all wrestlers.  The Gators entered their Varsity, JV, and Girls teams.  Ware County had a good showing with one Gator, Senior Jabare George, going 5 – 0 pinning through all of the competition.  The teams competing were Brunswick, Camden, Coffee, Colquitt, Cook, Crisp, Fitzgerald, Glynn Academy, Greenbrier, Irwin, Lee, Thomas Co. Central, Toombs, Valdosta, Vidalia, Ware, and West Laurens.  The Gators have the rest of the week off and their next competition will be at Jeff Davis HS on Fri. – Sat. Dec 1^st and 2^nd. There will be a varsity duals tournament and a Girls traditional tournament on Friday and the finals of the varsity duals tournament and a JV traditional tournament on Saturday.  Wrestling will begin on Friday at 2 PM and at 9 AM on Saturday.  Complete Ware county results are listed below.
