Gators win Gladiator Duals in Athens!

The Gator wrestling team finished their regular season with a first place finish in the Gladiator Duals hosted by Clarke Central HS in Athens GA.  The grapplers went 4 – 0 defeating Oglethorpe HS (82 – 0), Westside Augusta HS 67 – 70, Clarke Central HS (41 – 32), and the state AAA 3^rd place winners Oconee HS (40 – 31).  The Ware Co. Gator wrestlers finished their dual season with an overall record of 37 – 7 achieving an 84% win record.  The Gators will begin their traditional (individual) state tournament next Saturday Feb. 2^nd at Effingham HS.  Wrestling will begin at 9:00am.  Wrestlers who finish in the top 4 at the area 3 AAAAA tournament will advance to the east sectional tournament hosted by Loganville HS on Feb. 8 – 9.
